About Volunteering
If you wish to help preserve Britain's railway heritage, there's a place for you on our team.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experience levels - what matters most is a willingness to learn.
Should you have mechanical engineering skills may be you would wish to find a way of teaching others less fortunate .
We welcome you should you have limited skills, different skills or no skills , all of you are welcome .
Where We Work
The restoration of locomotive 2874 takes place at Toddington, Gloucestershire, on the picturesque Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway.
The main work is carried out under cover, although may be a few tasks have or are carried out in the sun ( or sometimes in the rain )
The workshop is well-equipped and provides the perfect environment for both learning and restoration work.
An excellent mess room is also availble for that tea or lunch break, with seperate washing and showering facilities for both men and women in a purpose built building.
Please come and see if loco restoration is for you you may be surprised !
