Your Membership is an important element in our mission to restore 2874 and we thank you in advance for your kind and continuing support.
The 2874 Trust has been established as a charitable company & is registered by the Charity Commissioners & HM Revenue & Customs.
The trust is run by a small team of volunteers and your membership is an important contribution to the costs of restoring 2874 and The Trust achieving its aims. The Trust team receive no recompense for their efforts in running and supporting the trust.
Benefits of Membership
- You will become an important part of the railway heritage movement - your charity (The 2874 Trust) owns a historic steam locomotive and you can have a say in its future
- You will receive regular Newsletters outlining the progress of the restoration and the activities of the Trust
- You will have the opportunity to become involved in the hands-on work to restore our locomotive and the chance to learn new skills
- You could become involved in helping run the organisation or take part in our publicity events
- You will be helping to preserve heritage mechanical engineering skills for the benefit of future generations

We encourage all members, if they are UK taxpayers, to complete a Gift Aid declaration to allow us to claim an additional amount from HM Revenue and Customs - a valuable source of funds that comes at no cost to our members.
There are options within the life and 5 year membership categories to pay by monthly standing order - the online system is set up for credit/debit/PayPal payments but Standing Order can also be used.
